Overview
About Me
I'm from a perfectly dreamy little town in Northern Michigan, but have been calling Penang Malaysia home since October of 2017.
By profession I'm a social worker, though I'm now pursuing a MBA. I've often accompanied my professional work with an additional gig as a bartender or barista.
By passion I explore city and wilderness alike; I'm always keen to indulge my curiosities by traveling on foot, but hitchhiking, a bus, a train, a boat, or a plane, will also suffice.
I'm an introvert with great social skills, a brave sense of adventure, and a deep appreciation for coffee.
I eat healthily (including vegetarianism), and am often listening to NPR podcasts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The reason for my being on couchsurfing is threefold:
1) although introverted, I enjoy meeting new people on my journeys;
2) in previous years I have enjoyed hosting travelers;
3) and, I have often been in need of affordable accommodations while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm always keen on watching a Terrence Malick film, and a favorite work of literature is "If on a winter's night a traveler" by Italo Calvino.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left the USA two hours before Trump's inauguration as POTUS, determined not to return until he is no longer president, and thereafter hitchhiked/couchsurfed in Australia before settling into Malaysia.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I offer a quiet but kind disposition, and a commitment to leaving one's home better (cleaner, energetically brighter, etc.) than it was before. I'm a very low maintenance guest.
