Overview
About Me
I grew up in Scotland and I live in Edinburgh now... ish. I'm not there much tbh and don't have a residence anywhere. I spend my time sailing as much as I can. I love traveling and exploring but especially being part of a community and meeting lovely people along the way.
My couchsurfing experiences have been some of the most memorable times and I can't wait to have more!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has given me some wonderful experiences and everyone I have met here has been very generous and kind. These are the kind of people I want to have in my life.
Interests
I know a little about a lot and a lot about very little. I worked as a whitewater rafting guide on the Colorado River for 7 years and now I get my money from sailing tho I'm not sure I'd call it work. I love spending time outdoors doing fun activities like surfing, hiking, biking, canoeing, rock climbing, scuba diving, or anything really, especially in the wilderness.
I also appreciate relaxing time indoors or chilling with friends. I try to practice yoga and meditation when I can and I'm very interested in learning more about spirituality.
My favourite thing is hanging out with nice people, whatever the context!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy music a lot tho I usually prefer someone else to be DJ, I listen to my own music all the time after all.
I love a good book/audiobook. I read/listened to 53 books last year. My go to is usually sci-fi (tho I could rant for hours about how great Terry Pratchett is) but I relish getting recommendations outside my normal reading. What's your favourite book?
Favourite movie is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty... I love the journey he goes on and the awakening that it represents.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, I spent 24 days on a river trip in the Grand Canyon with 5 friends. It was isolated, beautiful, exhilarating, serene, terrifying, bonding and seems unreal now. Once we were done, I didn't want to go back to civilization, I just wanted to start the float all over again.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love swapping stories over a cold beer or a glass of wine. I'm a river guide and a sailor, I can tell stories all day!
