Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Trying not to forget to reply to couchrequests!! I can be a bit forgetful if I don't do it right away, but seriously, I'm getting better at it! :) Don't be shy and just send me a second message to remind me that I haven't replied yet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had great experiences couchsurfing with friends in Peru, Ecuador and Tokyo, and have happily hosted a couple of times, too.

Interests

I love love love finding new music, and consequently going to great gigs, the more intimate, the better! I love going to the cinema (although I've had to watch films at home most of the time since I've lived in Heidelberg, due to the Germans' great fondness for dubbing eeeeverything...) I dream of making my own stop motion film one day, though I doubt that I have enough patience and determination to actually do it... ;) (--> laziness)
dressing up silly and generally making rude or inappropriate jokes are also some of my favourite pastimes, when I'm with the right people! random things that are shaped like hamburgers also make me happy! especially actual hamburgers. OMNOMNOMNOM.

also, sloths are the best animals on this planet and I could watch videos of them forever and for years my biggest dream has been to visit the sloth sanctuary in costa rica. one day!

TV: I am turning into more and more of a tv series addict.
absolute favourites are arrested development, it's always sunny in philadelphia, freaks and geeks, twin peaks, carnivale, game of thrones, daria and dead like me.

Other top choices are parks and recreation, 30 rock, black books, stressed eric, curb your enthusiasm, boardwalk empire, mad men, wonderfalls, absolutely fabulous, the muppet show, eastbound and down, gilmore girls, monty python's flying circus, my so-called life, the first few seasons of spongebob squarepants (haha), party down, hey arnold, malcolm in the middle, classic simpsons, futurama, lost, pinky and the brain and many more... and many more to come!

Books: I have to admit that great films and TV-Series have robbed me of precious reading time, and I will have to change this ;)
But I do love me some Roald Dahl (!!!!), Murakami, Stephen Fry and Toni Morrison, devoured all the Harry Potter books, and books like High Fidelity, Catcher in the Rye and Picture of Dorian Gray are also among my favourites :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was an audience member at Late Night with Conan O'Brien in New York. EPIC! :D

The amazing view we had during our 3 day train ride in the California Zephyr, from Chicago to San Francisco.

Climbed to the top of Wayna Picchu in Peru. I am not a sporty person, so on my way up I thought I might die. But having arrived at the top, I realised it reeaaaaally was worth the pain.

Having just managed to catch the Sakura in Japan before I left, and singing Karaoke there!

Apart from showing you loads of amazing music and films, I can teach you Luxembourgish! A very important language nowadays! :)
