About Me
I am someone who has been working towards figuring out my endgame for the past eighteen years and still have no clue as to what I want to do with my life and who I want to be. After spending the extent of my life so far inside the protection of the Rocky Mountains, I am interested in seeing what lays beyond. I have never before had the opportunity to explore the world, and after coming to the realization recently that I am no closer to figuring out who it is exactly I am, I have decided to broaden my horizon, make memories and just have fun with this life I have been given.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Making memories, traveling to new places, and doing it all right out of high school is expensive. I want to be able to experience these things and more without having to sacrifice anything, whether that be additional expenses or my safety. I want to be able to actually live in the culture of wherever I may be and not have a muddled down touristy version of it.
Interests
I LOVE everything that has to do with the arts. Anything from music to dance to painting. I am always amazed at how everything can mean something different to anyone. We see what we want to see in a painting, or hear something we want to in a song, ,or read something we need to read in a poem. The possibilities are endless, and I like having something in my life that feels free.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm the kind of girl that can jive to a good Destiny Child's song and in the next minute be singing along with Frank Sinatra. It all depends on my mood as to what song I tune into first on my Ipod, but guarantee it's always on shuffle.
With regards to movies, the more action and adventure the better! I love in particular the Borne series. One, because of Matt Damon. Two, because you never know what's going to be around the corner, an intense fighting scene, a flashback to who he used to be, or a romantic scene of him sweeping his hostage girlfriend off her feet.
Books are my life. In high school one summer I read close to twenty novels in the span of six weeks. I love getting engrossed in the story and imagining myself as one of the characters. Staying up into all hours of the night to continuously find out what happens next to the character is my version of a fun Friday night.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know what one would describe as amazing. The way I see it is amazing is another word for impacting. Every summer I get to be apart of a fantastic kids camp that gives inner city kids a week to escape from their everyday lives. Their families have struggles putting food on the table, they are sometimes from the foster system, their parents are in and out of prison for unknown crimes, and we get to let them just be kids for a week. I volunteer as a leader at this camp and what that means is I just get to have fun and love these kids for a few days. We take them to amusement parks, the water slides, beaches, etc. all while feeding them food and teaching them how to respect themselves and others. We fund raise all year so we can send them to camp for free, giving their parents or guardians nothing to worry about. This is always my favourite week of the summer.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been dancing for more than eleven years both in studios and schools. I have recently found that I love to teach dance classes. I am trained in contemporary and hip hop, and I try to teach others the same. I have had many instructors over the years, which I find helps round me to better teach others because I have so many people I can get ideas from. I would love to learn more about the places I wish to visit. Having a large perspective on things, I think, helps us make wiser decisions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
With hosts, I wish to be as hospitable with you as you are with me. Lending a helping hand wherever needed is one way I can see myself accomplishing this.
