About Me
(not currently accepting guests beacuse i'm moving, sorry to all that people who asked me in september, don't even have time to respond properly, sorry sorry... i'll be traveling from october to december, so i'll be hosting from january of 2018)
Hi,
I'm Álvaro, born and grown in Sevilla (south of Spain), but i've been living in different cities like Granada, Barcelona, Cork (Ireland) and now in Málaga.
When i travel, more than buildings or museums, what I like the most is getting in touch with people: the different ways we live life, the different things we take for granted and the connection with the others over the differences.
I'm interested on social and cultural movements of the places, i like people sensitive to others situations and interested on what is going on around...
Despite i don't see myself as a professional, i love playing guitar and to jam informally with other musicians. Maybe that's why i love dancing too :)
Finally i'd say that i like being and doing things with people as much as being by my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm happy to join Coachsurfing community because for me it's the 2.0 way of hospitality :)
I like talking and hosting foreigners when i am in my land since i've been helped and cared a lot when i've been traveling in many different countries (Morroc, Rumania, Greece, Mexico, etc.).
I think sharing is a way to resist the predominance of money and economic interest in human relations. We all should have access to basic things such as accommodation, knowledge, culture and the right to move around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Joining Coach Surfing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach guitar for beginners and bossa nova as well (a bit of flamenco, a bit of jazz, funky...). Of course i've loved to learn more.
I can teach to prepare some typical meals from Andalucía.
I want to learn Brazilian, it would help me to sing better bossa nova.
This is a poetry-music performance i made with some friends. We are named Moluxco and the performance "Ciudad Refugio". It has to do with the situation about refugees and migration from our view, in the context of the south of Spain. The poems are composed from interviews made to migrants and refugees. This is the teaser, have a look, hope u like it! (i'm the guy with the guitar)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share information about what is going on in the city.
I could be open to show some points of interest from my view.
I would share the flat (kitchen, bathroom, livingroom) and energy (Internet, gas, electricity, water), but you have to get your own food (u could use the fridge of course).
I share coffee, clothes soap, etc...
I share the housekeeping and cooking as well :D
