ABOUT ME

Enjoy reading, schooling, talking, walking, drinking, gave up smoking (it's a process, cus im back at it again). Life's such for a Moreno. I studied Hispanic language and literature, then got myself into a posgraduate on Reading Promotion and now I dedicate my time to my Publishing House, translating and just all around traveling.

I really like movies and books. That's what I live and study for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I take people in, I guess. I mean, whatever help I can give, it's yours. But I travel a lot and have no permanent residency. My family lives in Chiapas but not on the touristic side, they live on the coast, so if you like manglars and this amazing culture known as Izapa, I can help you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed once and I felt comfortable. I didn't get the chance to enjoy the lifetime with my hostess but the city was incredible. I strongly believe that landscapes can be read and the more you travel the more you can find similarities in between countries, but what truly matters is finding how those differences articulate; in which way we are all writing the same book. And when we speak we're merely borrowing letters. Our world and alphabet is limited. What we do with it is infinite. For me, the couchsurfing experience is finding those places or blank spots were I can still hear my name being written.

Adendum
Couch surfing has proved itself a perfect place to meet all kinds of interesting people; and for some reason everyone I've met has had something to do with movies, which I adore. I've always been reluctant about just jumping and start talking to people but this experience has taught me that no trip has a plan and that there's no such thing as small talk, the journey is full of meaning. Just like that epic trip Gao Xinjian took into forgotten China where every single landscape was distinct and similar at the same time. "Everything is in everything"
