Overview
About Me
Painter, hiker, solo traveler, skier, subway and architecture enthusiast, motorcyclist, lawyer.
I’m adventurous (I think that’s a given here, right?), open-minded, and contemplative. I enjoy taking the road less traveled, and having unique experiences.
I have a square job but I’m weird at heart (I think my weird is endearing but I’ll let you be the judge).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting travelers at hostels, but I decided I wanted a better way to get to know local people and experience that perspective. So I found myself here on CS! I immediately fell in love with this community, where people are so generous to complete strangers for no reason other than our shared love of seeing the world and getting to know one another. It’s a beautiful thing!
I think cultural exchange and exposure to diverse people and experiences is the best way to create a more peaceful, tolerant world. I love travel in general, and all of my most impactful experiences have been visiting or meeting people from countries that most Americans have little exposure to.
I look forward to meeting some amazing, interesting, funny, quirky people and learning to see through your eyes.
Not looking for romance :)
Interests
Lover of all things quirky, dark, funny, gritty, and mysterious. (I’m really a happy and optimistic person, but for some reason am intrigued by the strange and unusual 🙃).
I’m artistic (I love to paint, I also like to draw but I haven’t done it in a long time). I love meeting creative people of all kinds, they inspire me!
Sometimes I’m a couch potato (especially after work), but I’m also pretty outdoorsy and active—I love skiing, hiking, biking, water sports, the beach, the mountains, and nature in general.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Melting into a hot spring after a 3 day trek through the Andes to Machu Piccu.
Circumnavigated the globe (ok, I skipped a lot of places, but still!) during a 5-week solo trip through the Balkans, Budapest (where I left my heart), parts of Western Europe, Thailand, Singapore, San Francisco, and finally back to NY. Dreaming of the next time I have the chance to travel for that long.
Skiing in the Alps on a glacier in Chamonix, France.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, cheesy NYC magnets, and most importantly- conversation!
