About Me
Hi! I am Amanda. I am a 28 year old American teacher, who has spent the last three years traveling and wandering the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be traveling solo next summer! Super excited :D
I have a few friends that have done couchsurfing (both hosting and surfing), and they rave about their experiences. They did not have any problems. That gave me confidence to try what I thought of mostly as an affordable way to travel. But after seeing profiles of the amazing people on here - their talents and interests- I realized this could be a way to meet like-minded people, make lifelong friends, and promote a more personal form of travel. Something more like an informal exchange, where you can learn about the culture and the people, put a face to a city or country, if you will. I am more interested in this form of travel, as opposed to a more "traditional" tourist experience, like staying in a hotel and only seeing tourist sports...
If that makes sense.... :)
Interests
My interests include, reading, traveling, learning new languages, beauty care, human rights, and cooking. I like reading, movies, and dance. I love working with kids. I love learning new things. I like to try new things and believe in doing everything at least once.
