Howdy fellow couchsurfers ! My name is Amber . I'm 29 years old and I am a Texas gal , not born but raised ! I was actually born in California where my parents met in high school. So I think California is still a tiny piece of me. My hometown is Dallas , Texas ! Represent ! HMU if you ever need recommendations of things to do here . TEX-MEX food is a thing here you have to try ;) Also , I'm a little familiar with Austin as well , another great city (our capital) to visit that I have been to many times ! Great nature scene and music scene . I can give some good recommendations about what to see there too :) I've grown up here my entire life . However I have family in many parts of the US as well as Mexico! Btw I come from a BIG and BLENDED family. My background is White and Hispanic so I am multiracial . My mother is from Michigan and my Dad from Mexico 🇲🇽. My mom's side is mostly Dutch American . My last name is Badillo which actually originates from Spain and the Spanish word badia which refers to people from the bay. I feel like my last name really resonates with who I am as I am a person who loves the outdoors and being near the water . Interests of mine include traveling , music , running , photography , good food , hiking , and herbal teas Philosophies of mine : Treat people the way you want to be treated . In other words , respect and kindness goes a long way . Look at the glass half full as opposed to half empty . Envy and jealousy is poisonous . It is better to find happiness than to be rich . What's the point of being number one if there are no other numbers . It's better to be positive than negative. Lastly , life is too short not to try to make the most of it so experience things even if it's outside your comfort zone or realm of what you're used to . ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ Those are some of the things I live by . Personality wise I am told I am easy to get along with . I can be shy at first in meeting new people but I absolutely enjoy making new friends , especially others who also share my passion for traveling and seeing what this world has to offer . Lastly , if curiosity peaks you my religious background is nondenominational Christian . However , politically I lean more liberally . In nature I think I'm a fair balance of conservativeness and being liberal . I think it is important to have good morals and I respect those who also have them .
