I grew up in Oregon, and studied biology. I just earned a master's degree in biological sciences. I love being outside in any way I can. Hiking, climbing, cycling, or just walking. If I'm inside, I want to be in the kitchen with food and good company. Cooking good food with love is a powerful thing. It brings people together and connects us to our land.

I live in Vermont, and attend Dartmouth as an ecology grad student. I'm still exploring the area and would be happy to share my home with others.
Music, Movies, and Books
Russian literature is wonderful, especially Anna Karenina. I love fiction, Cloud Atlas, 500 years of Solitude, House of Spirits. Ivan Doig, Barbara Kingsolver are two contemporary authors who write amazing fiction and non-fiction. Currently I'm reading Just Mercy, a memoir about the death penalty and justice system in the South Eastern United States.
