I would not call anything that I have done amazing. I think the word has become depreciated with excessive use. I have backpacked in foreign countries and seen kingdoms among clouds, but who can call these things amazing when the word belongs to the most virtuous of acts? A man who donates his eye so that a child might see, or the popular young girl who sincerely befriends the neglected classmate in spite of the taunts of her friends; these are amazing things. I have not done anything close to amazing yet, but I tell myself it is because I have not had the opportunity.
