Overview
About Me
I strive to expand my mind and idea of happiness, seeking alternative lifestyles and a place to call home. I used to be a full time lecturer and in 2013 I took some time in the holidays to travel around South East Asia. Once back at work I had handed in my notice and decided to move to South Korea within a few months.
This was the best decision I have ever made and the beginning of the rest of my life. I met new friends from all over the world, used all my free time to travel and explore my new home. I immersed myself in the community and found a family in the yoga world.
I dedicated myself to growing spiritually and discovering my true self. After two wonderful years in Korea I then travelled around India for 6 months, training to be a yoga teacher and exploring all India had to offer.
Since then I have travelled in Nepal and Europe. I volunteered in Greece with Refugees living in camps and squats. I am a true believer in no nations, no boarders and sharing love and compassion with all others, with no exceptions.
I am interested in all strands of philosophy and I love to learn from others. I want to share my life with interesting people that will help me grow and become a better person.
My life goal is to find a place where I feel truly at home, with a community of like minded people from all walks of life. Living and learning together in a shared happiness. In the meantime I am so happy to wander around the world, slightly lost but finding home in the connections I make along the way.
Oh and a little side note - I'm a gay girl and currently travelling with my girlfriend. If this disgusts (or excites) you, I would prefer not to meet up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make connections with likeminded people, to meet future friends and be hosted in places by local people. I hope to have my own home one day and would love to open it up to anyone in this community. I feel it is important for people to have access to new places and feel like they have a safe place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really do love all music!!! I can enjoy listening to anything if the mood is right. A rainy evening with an open fire, glass of wine and classical music is just as good as a night raving it up to EDM in a sweaty, dirty, dark basement. My favourite thing to do in new cities is to see local live music, I love Indie/folk/acoustic. Really - anything goes!
I also have very eclectic taste in movies, favourites ranging from Gone With the Wind to Comet, to Spirited Away to Amelie
I love to read historical fiction books set in places I travel. Currently reading Shantaram - so pretty much invested in this for a while!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekked the Annapurna Circuit in the Himalayas.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a certified yoga teacher and AcroYoga performer.
