Overview
About Me
When asking to stay with me please include why you would like to stay with me specifically. I only respond to official requests and will not host you from a message (although if you are only after some information I am happy to help!).
Due to past experiences I only host people over 21. Thanks!
CURRENT MISSION
To put an end to procrastination. This requires a fair amount of time and consideration.
ABOUT ME
Aside from having a great dislike of trying to sum myself up in a little box... I'm Scottish, only slightly mental, prefer being outdoors when possible and enjoy weather inappropriate activities. Generally quite laid back, always up for doing new things or going on madcap adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now that I've finished renovating my house I am happy to host. I have a spare double room as well as a rather comfy couch.
I stay about 40mins bus/20mins train away from the centre of Edinburgh. When not at work happy to show folks the area or have a beer - or just point in the right direction!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As well as couchsurfing myself through Norway, Sweden, Italy & Canada I have hosted people from Denmark, South Korea, France (aways from France!), Italy, Canada & America.
Interests
Everything that's not golf? That's a terrible lie of course. Cricket is pretty boring too...
I like a broad range of things, bit of a geek, I like walking/outdoorsy stuff, socialising, food (particularly cooking it)...
- dining
- cooking
- beer
- walking
- outdoor activities
- boxing
- cricket
- golf
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - anything that's not a romcom. According to netflicks I like 'dark independent dramas', which I believe is rather specific.
Music - rock, indie, punk, alternative
Books - I read a lot. Fiction, sci-fi, fantasy - anything that makes you think really. A scanner darkly is amazing, go read that.
Teach, Learn, Share
Food is really my thing when it comes to passing on skills. Likewise I like to learn about what people eat in other places and pick up tips - even if it's just ideas from restaurants!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I nice, wonderfully decorated (I could honestly be an interior decorator haha) place to stay, a room to yourself, can provide linen & towels, a beautifully cooked meal.
Obviously the pleasure of my company which is clearly worth the trip in itself!
