About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living!

ABOUT ME

I'm kind, open-minded, polite and respectful. I'm a little shy at first, but friendly and once I get to know someone I'm a bit of a goof and very friendly.

PHILOSOPHY

"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you fail by default."
-J.K Rowling

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed all over western Europe in the spring of 2014, and I had so much fun! So far I haven't had a chance to host, but I'm really looking forward to it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a fair bit but as of yet I haven't hosted yet. I'm excited for that, though. I'm an excellent hostess! :)

Interests

Music, writing, photography, cooking, yoga, and about nine million other things.

  • writing
  • photography
  • concerts
  • cooking
  • yoga
  • music
  • languages

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, man, all of these lists could go on for ages. I'll stick to the basics.

Music -
All of it. Intervals, D'Angelo, Measha Breuggergosman, Peter Wispelwey, Chance, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alt-J, the Who...
Favourite song: Sunrise, by Ryan Maguire -- check him out on youtube!

Books -
Anything about music and music history. All-time, non-music favourites include: Lolita, Harry Potter, Franny and Zooey...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recorded an album with a 50-piece big band at Levon Helm's studio in Woodstock NY, and then sang with Levon in concert. Backpacked around Western Europe alone. Found lucky pennies three days in a row.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, as a musician, I'm always willing and excited to share and talk about music of all types. I also love sharing writing with others, amateurs and otherwise. I don't often get the chance to cook, so anyone who wants to make a meal together is my new best friend. I have a good ear for languages, but again, I don't get much chance to practice any. If any of my future hosts/guests want to help me out with some Italian, German, Spanish, or anything else, I'd be more than happy to return the favour and help them out with English or French (if they needed it)!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United States
