About Me

***

My philosophy:

***

"There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder."

"We must take adventures to know where we truly belong."

***

I am a researcher and scholar who has recently completed a PhD in the field of Childhood Studies (Sociology).

I lived away from home throughout my 20s - in Australia and USA and am now back in India.

I love exploring new places - people, history, architecture, nature, and culture intrigue and inspire me!

Yoga, music, books (all kinds!), vipassana (meditation), food (fresh and green), exploring new places (locally and globally), family, love, and spirited conversations keep me going!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that an enriching experience of any new place is fully possible only when engaging with the local residents.

What better way to engage with local residents than by living with them and spending time exchanging experiences, identifying differences, and engaging in similar interests with people living half way across the globe?

I'd like to host and be hosted by people with similar interests and backgrounds while traveling.

Budget constraints!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn another language (Spanish is on one of the top few), and in exchange I can teach Hindi and/ or English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking and exchanging stories and experiences. I can share some Indian cooking tips (as well as some great veg and vegan recipes), music, writing, research, and editing tips (since I also do this for a living), and good conversations (about current affairs, rights, philosophy, literature, arts, nature, and traveling).

Countries I’ve Visited
