About Me

For many different reasons I rarely hosted or was hosted through Couchsurfing , but I have shared flats for over 10 years now, and I had flatmates from so many different places around the world, mostly with Erasmus students and/or local students from all of Turkey, Germany, U.S.A, Holland, Japan, India, Serbia, Romania, France, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine (students usually don't stay more than one Semester). I like the idea of meeting new people and talking about different cultures.
Being a person who is interested in Languages made me also very interested in the cultures behind those Languages, which- in a way or another- have ''coined'' this or that language and make it what it is now.
I live in Düsseldorf for 6 year now. Currently finishing my Bachelor in Social Work and planning a master in humanitarian aid and intercultural studies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm kind of stuck in Düsseldorf because of my studies. So I'd like to host some People

Interests

I enjoy repairing stuff, mostly houshold equipments, such as a water tap or a broken chair, etc. Sometimes simple electic devices. (I managed to repair my Samsung with a plastic knife once :)) I am trying to collect a repair team to start a repair club in Düsseldorf.
I am a good storyteller, and I enjoy listening to what others' have experienced as well.
Any simple conversation that has any connection with Languages, accents, dialects, slangs, literature, culture, ancient civilisations is very interesting to me.
Experiencing something totally new is my addiction, that is why actually I don't expect me to stay in one Job for ages. (I know that I am totally in the wrong country to have such an ideology ;))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I came all the way from Syria to Germany without even having passport :)

I have always been a good friend and a family member with everyone I have lived with, and I will always be ( I have my references :)

Teach, Learn, Share

For me emotions are the production of our sould, not minds. Furthermore, I DO believe that each and eveyone of us produce every single day emotional ''units'' or so. These ''Units'' are much more valuable and even enjoyable, when they are shared with others. Simply because we humans, according to psychiatrists, tend to do activities in a group, e.g. eating. (at least we used to earlier :´( Unfortunately we are still isolating ourselves and building more and more barriers among us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories, experiences and visions.
I am a good cook, so I can offer Syrian food (BTW, there are so many vegan and vegeterian meals in the Syrian cuisine), and of course I can give a hand in all kinds of housework (including Spring cleaning;))
I am a teacher, so I can help with learning Arabic, English, German and/or Turkish

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Serbia

Countries I’ve Lived In
