About Me
Hi friends! My name is Anastasia and I came from Ukraine. I live in Kyiv with my husband and a cat named Chichi.
The war still goes on in Ukraine and we have regular bomb or drone shellings in Kyiv. All my travels since the beginning of the war are emotional breaks from a constant fear and sleeping disorder.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to get new acquaintances around all over the world. Also, it will give me new experience of communication with foreigners and diving into their culture. Couchsurfing brings great inspiration and excitement of being around interesting and so different people who can change my way of thinking.
Interests
I'm fond of solo traveling, cause it's a great way of making new friends in different places (trains, hostels, camps, even on the road). Also, I am a swing dancer. I dance boogie-woogie and lindy hop. I like dancing to live jazz music.
Also, once in 2016, I spent a wonderful summer in the USA. I took part in the student program Work and Travel. At the end of the program, I managed to complete a 2-week trip around 5 big cities (Chicago, Boston, Philly, Washington, New York) all by myself. I was only 19 and had that crazy adventure feeling that helped me to avoid unpleasant situations and meet wonderful people on my way.
At the weekend I like to hang out somewhere among interesting people. Usually, I meet some friends of mine to spend quality time with them or going to the theatre, book or music events by myself. Also, I'm fond of penpalling, postcrossing, different kinds of handmade and photography. As a part of my daily life, I've already used to working out (gym, running, cycling, hiking).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a spontaneous idea of Free Hugs. I just stood on the main square of the city with a sheet of paper on which I wrote "Free Hugs". It was one of the greatest my spontaneous ideas ever.
