About Me
NOT ALL WHO WANDER ARE LOST
I am from Bilbao, Spain. I study in Washington DC, came here to study because I got offered a scholarship to play tennis in the university team. I have been studying for three years now and I plan to graduate in 2018. My field of study is Business Managament and Finance, a double major.
I consider myself positive about almost anything, people tell me I am very energetic and active. I speak fast so if you don't understand me, slow me down!!!
My short term goals are graduating, renting a flat with my girlfriend, getting a job and together travel the world and far more. I hope you can be part of our adventure!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My girlfriend discovered this amazing website, and we turned it into a philosophy of travelling. We discovered a much more rich way to travel thanks to you, guys, that are part of this amazing community, Couchsurfing. Meeting with locals helps you see the city in reality and get rid of MANY prejudices. Staying with you guys will help me and my girlfriend have a better view of your town, otherwise we will end up in tours with tourists and seeing the commercial part of the cities. We are here so that people can help us realize that cities are not what the travel agencies tell you!
Interests
I like pretty much everything that has something to do with banks, finance, money, investing and the usage of money, it is my field of study, after all. It is a tool that we use everyday and that people often forget how to use it to make them happy. Money can make you happy if you know how to spend it. I also like sports, I an very active and energetic, played tennis and soccer since I was 6, but then i quit soccer at 15. I still play tennis for a university in DC. I am a big fan of music, I can talk about pretty much all genres, even though I dont enjoy all of them. I like reading, specially things that can teach me something. As well as documentaries.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ska, electronic indie, heavy metal, rock, hard rock, dubstep, drumstep, neurofunk, jazz, classical. As you can see, pretty much everything, unless it is very commercial, I will find it interesting and I will love to have a conversation about it, listen to it or shake my skeleton to its rythm!!!
Movies are not my strong point, but my girlfriend Izaro is a HUGE expert, ask her about them and she will love to talk about them. But if you want to know my favourites, I would probably say, Saw, Lord Of The Rings, Rocky, Pirates Of The Caribbean, If you want to know more, let's share a beer and a snack and have a talk about it!
The books I like most are biographies and those that have some relation to the business, money, finance field. Lately I am enjoying travel books, currently reading On the road - Jack Kerouac!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This summer I beat my existential fear of (as incredible as it might sound), snorkeling. I don't feel confident in the sea, surrounded by thousands of little creatures swimming around me, but HEY here I am, still alive!
Oh and I also watched Metallica play for free, LIVE. Ask me about it, taken in account the prices that they are charging for their latest concerts, that is a pretty amazing acomplishment, isn't it?!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Spanish, English and Basque, this last one is a very difficult language, spoken by a few who live in the northern part of Spain, it is fun to hear people try to learn! Basque is one of the most difficult languages to learn, it is ancient, in fact, experts don't know it's origins or when it was originated, isn't that cool??. Just to give you an idea about it, it is older than Latin. :O
I can also show you how to solve a rubik's cube! I have my personal record in 1min20secs!
If we have the chance I can teach some Tennis, even if its not in the court, I can give you couple tips for when you play with friends and want to beat them... or when you play with your boss and you need to let him/her win ahaha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good company, nice talk about every subject, and if I can't talk much about it, I offer the best of my attention. I am very organized, clean, never make any noise, don't smoke. Just give me a place and I will sleep wherever!
If we have the time, my girlfriend and I, love playing board games or cards, so we can share some drinks while we have some fun at late nights.
