About Me

Well, its not all about meeee..is it?! We're a couple, pair of goofy friends, two people who share a love for travel, adventure and basically anything fun that life has to offer. Our feet are always itching to take the next leap and in the short time we've known each other, we've probably seen and done more than a couple that has been together for 25 years (I'm looking at you, mom and dad).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're travellers on a budget...why not?!

This is our 8th month of travel in the wonderful South America and we've had nothing but GREAT experiences on couchsurfing here!

Interests

Dancing til the sun comes up, trying a new recipe, petting and naming all of the neighborhood cats, ICE CREAM and exploring what life has to offer off the beaten path.

Music, Movies, and Books

Vince couldn't get me to watch a movie if his life depended on it while some of his favs are the Italian Job and Shawshank Redemption . I, personally, would be able to survive the rest of my life sans TV buuuut I could 100% sit in front of one all day watching an entire season of Big Brother.

Throw on a tune and you will surely have Vince and I jammin' in no time. We went to Shambhala Music Festival together last August and basically had to be peeled off the dance floor. We love anything the stereo spits out (although Vince has a strict 2 song only rule when it comes to country...) but anything that makes us move is what we crave. Throw on some house or reggae? Now we're talkin'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We hiked the Stawamus Chief (Squamish, BC) side by side until we got allll the way up (700m above water). It was the first time I've ever done something like that and having lunch at the top peak over the most breathtaking view was more of a reward than I could have ever asked for.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to learn some Spanish, hopefully some local recipes and favorite dishes as noted above share with you all of our travels and experiences and who knows maybe host you down the road.... sky is the limit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, you know what they say...your vibe attracts your tribe. Vince and I share about 1 million laughs a day at the bare minimum, we give great hugs and have a kick ass hammock you can claim as your own throughout our stay. Cooking together is one of our all time favorite things to do and we'd almost never turn down the opportunity to whip up the newest saved recipe we probably spent hours drooling over. Andrea has a smile that will light up a room or even a dark cave/tent, once you get to know her it is easy to understand why she is the life of the party.... just a little shy a first. Both us of like to travel with no tours, no plans written in stone and sometimes, when we're feeling a little lucky, no fixed budget...ouch!! We prefer to do things off the beaten path like the locals would do and stay far clear of the biggest tourist attractions. Vince will be more than happy to share stories of travels and North American life as he is fortunate enough to have visited every major Canadian city at least once and lived in a few, as well as traveled extensively throughout the US and lived in New York City for almost 2 years.

We feed off of each other's positive energy, wandering minds and open hearts and are confident that although we may not be able to offer anything specific in exchange for a good night sleep on your couch, we will contribute to fun evenings and share all experiences and future plans and welcome your input...everyone wants to show off their hometown...right??
