ABOUT ME

Well.. what to say about me? You better ask my friends ;) However, people say about me that I always smile and never loose my good mood.. and most times this is actually true! I am interested in many things and I would consider myself an open-minded person. I think I will always stay curious to learn new things. Recently I have done a teacher training in Kundalini Yoga, which was quite demanding for me!! But nevertheless I enjoyed it. Met great people and made a lot of new experiences. What I love most in the world is the sea - I would love to live by the sea... maybe one day I will fullfil this dream! Does anybody have a houseboat for sale for me? ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just one... but a very beautiful one! Unfortunately, the little village I live at, is not so popular among couchsurfers!!!
For me couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel - as you get to know interesting people, learn about their way of life and have the chance to really get an insight in other countries..

Interests

I love travelling, hiking and cooking with friends, doing yoga, living on boats.. I like reading, relaxing, being in the nature.. meeting new people, going to concerts, to the cinema... Learn from and understand other cultures and other people. And last but not least, I love my dog and to run over the fields with him on a perfect sunny day..

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading, some of my favourite authors are Haruki Murakami, Heinrich Steinfest, Rumi, Rilke, Helge Timmerberg, Yann Martel, Joe Coomer, Wolfram Fleischhauer, Gregory David Roberts and many more.
I also enjoy listening to all sorts of music Paul Weller, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gotye, Coldplay, Lenny Kravitz, David Bowie, Zaz, Feist, - just to mention some.. and I love to go to concerts.. and to chant mantras - I chant in a mantra band.
I enjoy watching non-mainstream movies - mainly the strange ones.. I love actors such as Moritz Bleibtreu (Lammbock ;-), Juergen Vogel, Martina Gedeck and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I was sailing with some researchers in the Mediterranean. They investigate and try to protect the whales and dolphins living around the Island of Ischia. This was a very special experience for me.. we really got close to these beautiful animals and also the life with the biologists aboard the vessel was great - great people - great fun!! http://www.oceanomaredelphis.org/
