ABOUT US
We have been together for about 5 years. We got married in February 2014 and we have an amazing baby that was born in April 2015. Diego has worked in the humanitarian sector for over 20 years. Traveled to almost 50 countries sometimes for pleasure, sometimes for a small period of time such as a conference and sometimes for long missions. He has a university degree and 3 graduate degrees. He is finishing his Ph.D. in Disaster Science and Management at the University of Delaware
Andrea is a teacher at a primary school. She teaches kids between 5-7 years old. She is very easy going, very sensitive and passionate about animals. Every time she sees an abandoned dog she takes it home and takes care of him and tries to find them a family.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that you should go to bed every night feeling well because during that day you did something nice for somebody else.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are currently living in Newark, Delaware, US and we have a nice comfortable house. We usually rent one of the extra rooms but when we have noone coming it is nice to have guests through couchsurfing. We have been receiving people for almost 10 years and we are very happy for all the people we have met.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We had the best of experiences with couchsurfing in a few countries.
Interests
We are both very different. Diego loves sports although sometimes he is very lazy. Andrea looooves sleeping until late, specially now that she spends all her energies taking care of our crazy and active little girl. We are very easy going. We do not like to stay up at night.

He also lived in Congo for half a year with the poorest of the poor.. also imposible to describe
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our house is very comfortable. We have an extra bedrooms that you can use. Because we also rent that room out, we are very used to receiving people. But if we don't have guests, you are welcome to stay with us.
Andre is learning English and it is nice if our guests push her to practice ! so we prefer travelers that are willing to spend a couple of hours with her to help.
