When I travel I love to get immersed in the local way of life - for me and my wife it is always the most fun, and you can see some very unique and unusual things that you might miss if travelling like a regular tourist. It is always very interesting to talk to people from all over the world - there are so many interesting new stories to hear and things to learn.

I love music and can play several instruments. Also I am a big movie fan, but barely have time to watch films nowadays. I do love a good horror flick, and really enjoy some B level cheesy horrors. I do rock climbing and I enjoy hiking and outdoors. When I have time I love to cook a good dinner and try out new things in the kitchen.

Not reading as many books as I would want these days. Mostly comic books like Hellblazer, Locke and Key, Transmetropolitan and a lot of other horror themed books.
I like all sorts of films - pretty much in ever genre except for romantic comedies. I am always in the mood for some really serious film, and am one of few people who can easily sit through whole of 2001: A Space Odyssey, as well as actually see it more then once.
Regarding music - too much to mention. Everything from heavy metal to traditional folk and world music, electronics to sounds of whales singing. I love all kinds of music and always try to discover more unusual genres.

Together with my wife we have finally did a roadtrip in the USA - explored California, visiting national parks and the Grand Canyon. As well did some travelling on the east coast, visiting some of the major cities like New York, Philadelphia and Washington.

I am always happy to help practice a language - be that Russian or English. I can also teach a bit of guitar and how to cook a pretty good meal.
