About Me

In the midst of a backpacking tour around Thailand and Europe this summer, hoping to meet great people, find interesting places, and make stories worth sharing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This format not only appears to be an economic choice for finding places to sleep, but it is also a genuine way to explore and connect with people. I want to see corners of the world outside the tourist strips and blog posts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not a great dancer. The clubs of the world aren't better off by my show of enthusiastic hip... uhh... thrashing. That being said, it's still something I enjoy doing. One night, after three others before it, I found myself in a the same after hours bar getting down. About half way through the night, a guy came up to me and said he was inspired by how much fun he noticed I was having all week. It made him less concerned about how he was dancing, so he told me anyway. It's not the most incredible stunt or venture I have pulled off, but it did feel very rewarding to be recognized for dancing of all things.

Teach, Learn, Share

From historical references, to practical guides on mindfulness and biohacking your brain, I pride myself on a variety of both useless and helpful fun facts. For those that might be interested, I do have a year in a classroom and tutor setting in english teaching experience. Teaching people various skills and hobbies has been something I have always enjoyed doing, almost as much as being taught. I suppose the ideal couch surfing experience would have some branching out from the areas of culture exchange to dive into skill sharing too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll keep it simple:
English lessons for you or children
A fairly honest explanation of American political dynamics ( Many travelers often ask me about these things)
Basics in small business management
Photography skill sharing, or I can help you get some shots of yourself, family, friends, or whatever you might like
Some simple business consultation
A long list of psychology facts, some practical and others frivolous.
Not too shabby at cleaning and yard work.
