About Me

Relaxed, happy, and optimistic world traveler :-) I love doing outdoor activities like scuba diving, crossfit, hiking, and just being happy in nature. Traveled and lived in a lot of places so far (Australia, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and currently living in Honduras) and I would love to get to know more of each country, culture and stories of others.

Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Nicaragua 2017-2018). Studied abroad in Australia, Costa Rica, and Hong Kong during undergraduate. I love Crossfit, singing (part of the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus), playing the piano, and socializing. I am currently living in Roatan, Honduras as a Clinical Global Health Researcher with UC Davis Pediatric. I will be starting medical school this year!

Relajado, tranquilo, y optimista :-) Me encantan viajar y conocer otro paises.

As a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua, I worked autonomously. I learned how to be self-motivated and self-confident to take the initiative on starting my own projects. I convinced community leaders, who were unfamiliar with Peace Corps volunteers, to believe in my project order to gain “buy-in” for community development projects. Learning Spanish while trying to build trusting relationships with local professionals added to the challenge. I had to learn how to balance my personal interests, the needs of the community, and the goals of Peace Corps. I learned how to manage projects that could satisfy my interest in working with LGBT and HIV+ populations, the community needs of addressing teenage pregnancy, and the Peace Corps goals addressing maternal and infant care.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you English, CPR/First Aid, how to scuba dive, crossfit, biology and the human body, you name it :-)
