CURRENT MISSION
To continually create a better self.
ABOUT ME
After graduating from university in 2011, I spent a few months travelling and volunteering in Ghana with Operation Groundswell (great group, check them out if you're a student). Since then I've been living in Vancouver, working in software development, honing my craft and looking forward to the day when I would hit the road once again.
That day will soon be upon me, and so I've joined up with this website. My intention is to travel for about 9 months, after which I'll be going to grad school to study robotics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A big part of my motivation for travelling is to directly experience the cultures of the places I visit. Couchsurfing seems like a good way to get an insider's view of a place. In future, when I have a couch available to offer, I look forward to hosting other surfers wherever I happen to end up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've held the tail of a live crocodile as it sat on the lakeshore, placid from having just been fed. One of my pictures captures this moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a programmer, and am pretty good with computers otherwise too. And as I've always been a voracious consumer of the printed word, my command of English is quite strong. And I've got a strong academic background in physics. I'm happy to teach anyone who wants to learn about these things.
Countries I’ve Visited
Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Singapore, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey
