Overview
About Me
I'm a university student from Thessaloniki who studies the Russian language at the city of Komotini.
Last season I spent the winter semester in Kraków, Poland as an Erasmus+ student, truly a turning point on my traveling experiences, that's when I started going to... places. And I hope it'll be quite a while before this era comes to an end.
I'm a rationalist, easy-going guy who can get along with most people out there. My hobbies include reading books(mainly literature and history, but not exclusively), listening to music and going to concerts(mainly rock and metal, but not exclusively) and watching tv-series(pretty much anything). I can't watch a whole movie by myself though, with company is much easier.
I wanna travel so much, and I believe this website gives people the opportunity to experience one major part of a succesul trip, to meet locals.
It's about now that I started considering couchsurfing, even though I created my profile 2 years ago. Haven't hosted myself since in Thessaloniki I live with my parents, and in Komotini... hahaha, come on, noone comes there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling consciously, maybe trying to find some kind of salvation, convey the life I'm carried with. Through traveling I'm hoping to grow internally(and extrernally, time isn't making favours to anyone), change my view of the world and truly... live, so maybe I'll someday really understand the things that are going on around me, tame the errors inside me. And what would traveling be for all these, if you don't really understand and digest the place you're at? Probably nothing at all, so that's why meeting locals and talking to them is so vital for travelers.
The traveler can actually feel the city's vibe, act like a local and avoid tourist traps, while the host can actually offer his help and present all the positive aspects of his city to the visitor.
Personally, I wanna meet people willing to share their culture, introduce others to their hometown and have a great time with the people they host.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music? Ooooh don't do this to me, I can't put myself in such a dilemma.
I can listen to almost anything, I'm open for you to introduce me to anything. My taste orbits around pretty much anything that's metal, rock and punk, I listen to some country music, electronic(sorry I don't know the genres' differences) and some ambience too, it depends if it helps me to sleep or not, every night it's different.
Favorite movies: 300, Arrival, A Clockwork Orange, Die Welle, Fight Club, Lord Of The Rings, The Road and more
Favorite tv series: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Narcos, Stranger Things, Family Guy, Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty, Sherlock
Favorite books: 1984, The Swarm, Les Miserables, Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series, books about traveling, books about football
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't really say I've done things like the ones I've seen in other profiles.
If I have to submit something, it would be my four and a half months of Erasmus in Poland. I spent so much of my time there in hostels, night buses/trains, "sleeping" in airports and stations, making the best I could to travel the most I could.
I'd like to try skydiving once. Hope I'll be able to write that I did it sometime in the future.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Probably I'm going to be able to bring to you any small thing you ask for from Greece. Either a souvenir, or a snack, or something to cook...
Stories, (deep) conversations and hopefully my friendship :)
