About Me

Kia ora!

I'm a Kiwi law student currently studying in The Netherlands. I'm an outgoing and friendly guy, interested in travelling and meeting new people. My favourite aspect of my travels has been getting to know different people and different cultures, so hopefully this will continue through Couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting locals is the most difficult part of travelling. Stay in backpackers typically means you just meet only other travellers, and I'd like to do some travel where I meet locals and get a more authentic experience. It'd be great to meet new people and get their advice for what to do around their local area, and to meet some new people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite film is Spirited Away, I'm an anime fanatic at heart, and my favourite book is Wuthering Heights. I like pretty much all music but I've been pretty big on Amy Winehouse these past couple of months.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My family is big on tramping, and one time my Dad and I trekked for three days to the top of this mountain. At the top was a boulder which you could climb, giving a panoramic view of the central North Island of NZ. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It was dead silent up there and it was so isolated that it made all my problems seem very insignificant. It was so amazing that I did another trip back four years later, and it was by far one of the best experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you anything about NZ and our culture, and I could also have some solid chat about the current US primaries. If you have a passion for politics, I can yarn for hours.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a really sociable guy so I can promise some good chat and a laughs. I'm low maintenance and won't be a bother. I'd also be happy to return the favour and host you anytime you make it over to my side of the world!
