Overview
About Me
Hi! I traveled outside of the United States for the first time as a exchange student in Italy at the age of 21. Since then, I've visited 15+ countries and have fallen in love with the art of traveling. I've found that the more places I've visited and the more people I've gotten to know, the more I've learned about myself.
One of my favorite quotes is, "Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place." This rings true to me because I grew up quite sheltered and it wasn't until I left home that I was able to strip myself of all the expectations that my family members and community had of me, and finally begin to realize who I am as a person. Every day, I'm learning more and more about myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The couchsurfing community is made up of individuals who share one common love, meeting other people. I've found that every single person I've interacted with has taught me something, either about the world or about myself. CF makes it easier for me to find and connect with unique people who ultimately teach me more about who I am.
