Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Anika. I'm 23 and a master's student of Sociology. In August '16 I began another master's programme at Linköping university (Gender Studies).
I can be very enthusiastic about my passions. That would be redecorating my home or being completely soaked up in my favourite stories (see books and movies). I'm a fan of British culture and language. I love nature, since nothing can ease a mind like some fresh forest green or a beautiful landscape.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I became interested in Couchsurfing when I began an M.A. in Gender Studies at Linköping and needed accommodation for a week . I had heard about couchsurfing before but did not have the opportunity to travel much.
I belief that couchsurfing is a wonderful way of travelling, since you get in contact with locals and meet new and interesting people in a very specific way.
It's a wonderful way to experience that every single person you meet is interesting in their own way and that you always find at least on topic that you can talk about.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is quite hard to describe: Muse, RHCP, Angus and Julia Stone, Movie Soundtracks, Emil Bulls, Korn, Enya... You see, a bit of everything.
My favourite TV show are the BBC series Sherlock and Doctor Who, but I also love House (M.D.), The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, the The Night Manager and Homeland. Favourite movies are The Lord of the Rings, In Bruges, Kingdom of Heaven, Intouchables, Shakespearean plays and The Men Who Stare at Goats.
Favourite books mostly match the titles above, so Sherlock, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Shakespeare's plays, Eragon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I overcame my self-doubts and actually started couchsurfing. I always thought myself to be a rather introvert person, but couchsurfing has actually taught me otherwise :-)
