About Me
Ever did everything by the book, only to realize there is no such book? Yep, that's me.
A complete nerd and an obedient 'yes ma'am' since childhood, I went onto pursue my legal studies for 5 years and eventually moved to the Development Sector where I worked as an Educator for nearly 6 years. Thanks to my folks who toured a lot, the travel bug bit me at an early age and has only been growing since. I've been solo traveling since 2017 and have been fortunate to visit many many places that has reinforced my love for immersive and experiential travel.
Currently, in an attempt to explore the further reaches of my home continent, I’m freelancing across SEA countries working in the outdoor education industry. I work as an instructor as well as program leader for outdoor environmental and experiential programs for international school students to teach life skills and survival abilities.
What moves me - Trekking (in constant awe of the mountains), Scuba Diving (ocean child all the way), Dancing (I always get itchy feet) and Biking (slow pace travel over everything else).
Current location - Singapore!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Bye bye 9 - 5! Hello, full time travel!
As a backpacker, I like to travel on a budget but also, make the most of a travel experience - meaning really get to the bottom of a place's culture, traditions, people, celebrations, and food! The best way to do that for me, is to engage with the regional folks and travel like a local!
I love to keep busy during my travels and help out in anyway I can. I'm a pretty decent cook, love decorating and setting up a place from scratch, offbeat photography and also can entertain with the Ukulele :D Although I love to travel solo, as it allows me flexibility over everything else, I'm quite social on my journeys and inevitably end up making travel buddies (both people and doggos) along the way!
I have been meaning to be a part of this community for a while and I finally found the courage to take that leap, as a full time traveler. I'm also working towards documenting my journeys to translate my travel experiences into a book I can someday publish and be proud of! I'm here to stay.
