Why I'm on Couchsurfing
We only live a few miles off of historic Route 66, so it makes sense that I'd be drawn to traveling and look forward to hosting travelers.
Music, Movies, and Books
The last several music albums I listened to were Wayra's "Canyon River," Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga's "Cheek to Cheek," and "Arabic Groove ." My favorite movies include "Whistle Down the Wind" (1961) and "The King of Hearts" (1966). I'm currently enjoying a book of women's travel stories and Jasper Fforde's "Thursday Next" series.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I recently completed my first triathlon here in the town where I live. It was a shorter length, but it was still pretty amazing and cool to have done it. The running and cycling routes were out and back, and the faster people cheered the slower people on as they ran or pedaled back. I also live in a town with people who do amazing things for one another.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: origami, weaving, spinning, beading, knitting and crochet. I would like to learn: languages other than English. I can share my positive laid-back attitude -- as well as some of my great favorite recipes.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can share: A favorite song, story, or poem; a listening ear.
