Overview
About Me
I will be traveling with another older woman. We are old hippies, also educated professionals. I have children and grandchildren. One son is an engineer who creates multifamily dwellings that produce all the energy they use. My other son is an artist and Ayurvedic practitioner and combines this into his "Ayurvedic Posters" website.
I spent two years hitchhiking around Europe when a young woman. I worked in NYC for two years. Then went out west, lived in communes, was at Haight - Ashbury in San Francisco, had both of my babies at home. The first was delivered by Ina Mae Gaskin who wrote Spiritual Midwifery. I brought my children up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I helped start and ran an alternative school there.
My friends are important to me. I'm in a group woman called the Full Moon Sisters. We meet at the full moon and for any excuse to party. I like to dance, laugh and have interesting conversations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to meet interesting people that live where I will be visiting. I want to feel welcome in a foreign place , instead of a stranger in a strange land. Locals know where to go and how to get there., what to do and what not to do Also of course couch surfing helps make traveling economically feasible.
I see that most hosts are young men so I don't expect too many to be interested in hosting me. We'll see what turns up.
I live in Florida and perhaps can return the favor.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the Beatles, the Band, the Eagles, music of that era. Wonder Woman staring Miss Israel was fun. Some old great films are the Emerald forest and Black Orpheus. I love Pandora.
I Some good books I read recently are All the light we can not see, The Nightingale and The Paris Architect. All about the Nazis in France. The Goldfinch and "The Shadow of the Wind" were kind of dark but really good reads.
