I’m 22 years old, from Newcastle in the north of England. After studying for 3 years in London I wanted to explore the world, so I went travelling with my friends in India, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Now I am travelling solo in Japan and trying to learn Japanese!! So far I have worked in a guesthouse in Osaka and then I spent some time in Tokyo. Currently in Yokohama looking for my next destination :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really believe that travelling is more about the people you meet than the places you go, so Couchsurfing seems like the perfect opportunity to connect with many people and learn many different things.

Most recently I have read Fahrenheit 451 a dystopian book about burning books! But I don’t read that often honestly.

I listen to a lot of music, many different genres but more recently I have been into experimental hip hop such as JPEGMAFIA and Tierra Whack. My favourite artist is Tyler the Creator.

Comedy is my favourite genre for TV shows and for movies and I love Bojack Horseman, Community, most recently I have watched Fleabag. My favourite film is probably Moonrise Kingdom.
