Hi

I'm 32 and currently live in London although I grew up in Cornwall. I work for a large multinational as an events facilitator and organiser. Howard (my partner who I am travelling with) has just left the Navy and we are heading off on an adventure together to celebrate the fact we can now be together (after nearly 3 years apart!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner Howard and I are heading off on a motorbike trip this summer to Mongolia and back through Europe, Russia and 'the Stans'. We're on a tight budget and will be spending a lot of time with just each other so we are looking for a double win of meeting new people on route and saving on accommodation costs

We will also be rough camping a lot and hope to have some relative comfort once in a while!

Interests

We both love exploring the outdoors and obviously motorbiking (although I am a novice). We are both new to off road motorbiking and we are going to learn on route!

Howard is an engineer at heart and can hold a very geeky conversation, I work in the tech industry so can just about keep up at times... Still learning mechanics on the bikes which is one of my love/hate pastimes at present but he is an excellent teacher and I'm proud every time I learn a new mechanical skill 😄

I quite like a good debate about anything and everything and love to hear other people's adventure stores, I find it so inspirational to hear what others have done and talk about adventuring dreams.

In London I do like keeping fit, I workout, cycle and jog. Howard isn't so active. He doesn't like food like I do (and doesn't sit on his backside for a job) so doesn't need to workout the same! I mainly like being strong so I can actually hold/ push/ catch my bike when things get a little hairy on the road!

We aren't big drinkers and as such we are very happy enjoying action packed days and quieter evenings eating good food in good company (opposed to hitting the town) and maybe a beer or glass of wine.

I've done some back packing before, mainly in Europe and Asia. Nepal has to be my favourite place on Earth so far.
For Howard this will be his first big trip, although he's had many a small holiday and spent a lot of time abroad with his job in the navy.

We are a pretty relaxed couple, been together nearly three years now. Oh and I'm a farmer's daughter and when travelling love any opportunity to get near a farm/ photo with a tractor (especially if it's a John Deere).
