Hello, my name is Annabel. I am creative- I spend most of my free time painting and drawing. I live in freezing (only at times!) in Plymouth, Minnesota.

I went to Europe by myself a few years ago and loved it. I have been missing the travel-way-of-life ever since. I love seeing different ways people live their lives. I find it fascinating. I think the best people are ones that are open to learning and growing their perspective while we are here.

2023: My boyfriend Derek and I are visiting Jamaica from January 11th-21st. We would love to meet locals and learn more about your ways of life on your beautiful island!!

2024: I'm exploring around Thailand! Wohoo!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on here? Because couchsurfing sounds like so much fun! Not only is it very helpful for travelers, and adds so much ease to traveling, but life-long friends are out there and can be made through this lovely site/app/invention! There is a bit of risk involved on both ends, but once the risk is taken, friendships can happen, and people can learn so much about other people/cultures and grow in knowledge from one another.

I don't know about you, but I could use more of this positivity in my life.

Interests

I have many interests.
Yoga: I used to practice several times a week while I lived in Seattle. I enjoy hot power yoga, but also enjoy a relaxing restorative yoga session. I now spend my workout time practicing Barre or HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). I feel best when I workout!
Art: As I mentioned eariler, I love art! I take lots of pictures, cook food, but for the most part, I usually draw and paint.
My family: I live around 30 minutes drive from them and love seeing my parents and siblings. My sister has two little girls. It's fun watching them learn and grow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To start from the beginning, I was born! That's pretty amazing if you ask me.
I went parasailing in the Key West of Florida, I've been on a cruise to Mexico, I was voted and tied for being the most creative person in my graduating high school class, I moved out spontaneously across the country at the age of 21.

Sharing smiles and kindness ❤ We don't always think about how complex other people's lives are. It's so easy to think about your own life, but we all have our own scars and fears and joys.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a smile, a story, a laugh. I can also draw something up if I'm feeling inspired/have supplies. I'm also tidy and could help clean/cook a meal.
Although I haven't travelled very extensively and don't have too many crazy travelling stories, I am a great listener, and have other stories!
