About Me

Hi! I'm a 23-year old psychology student from Munich, Germany, currently doing an exchange semester in Jyväskylä. Since I'm from Bavaria of course I love beer and here in Finland I fell in love with the snow - before I've only been abroad in warm places (Irvine, California and Málaga, Spain). I'm curious and would like to meet new people, so if you'd like to hang out please PM me :)

I enjoy conversations about various topics, although I always say I'm ambivert (so extrovert and introvert at the same time). I like singing (especially in the shower or in a choir), being outside/moving, sleeping & cooking. Food is the best basis for a good talk in my opinion and maybe some wine (I wanted to say good wine first but I'm certainly not a connoisseur so I left out that part :)) And the dish is not complete if I don't get something sweet afterwards, at least a piece of CHOCOLATE :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just joined Couchsurfing because I would like to meet some new and open-minded people and I think this is a cool and fun way to do so :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmm let's see, I'll just name some that come to my mind right now but I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot.

For books I like for example "Die Physiker" (English: "The Physicists", Dürrenmatt), "Krabat" (Otfried Preußler), "Die unendliche Geschichte" ("The Never-ending Story", Michael Ende), "Momo" (Michael Ende), "Der erste Frühling" ("The first spring", Klaus Kordon), Goethe's "Faust", "To Kill a Mockingbird" (Harper Lee), "Damals war es Friedrich" (Hans Peter Richter), "Herr der Diebe" (Cornelia Funke), "Tintenherz" (Cornelia Funke),, "El bosque de los pigmeos" (Isabel Allende), "Der Erdbeepflücker" (Monika Feth) and many many more!

Some of my favorite movies are Gone Girl, The Geisha, Searching for Sugarman, La La Land, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Les Misérables, Silver Linings, Spotlight, Selma, Perfume, PS: I love you, Amélie, Inception, all the Harry Potter books and movies, the Hunger Games books and movies.

Music changes so much according to my mood I can not even tell a favorite genre. I listen to electro-pop, dance, indie, rock as well as classical music, reggaetón. I especially like to listen to French and Spanish music, lately Finish music as well because I like to "learn phrases" while listening to music ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled through Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore with my boyfriend which was amazing, especially riding the moped in the warm island rain and of course the FOOD! :) And last year we travelled through China (Beijing - Qingdao - Shanghai - Huangshan - Guilin - Hong Kong) by train which was a great experience as well, especially the Forbidden City and Walking on the Great Wall.
Others, very current ones, watching the aurora borealis in Lapland, swimming in the ice lake in -8 degrees in Finland :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always open to speaking different languages since I love languages and I can teach some German (even if that's not my favorite language, it's my mother tongue ;-)). Also I'd like to share some recipes and cook or some good talks and a beer/wine.
