ABOUT ME

I am rather short girl that loves art and culture. Although I am a bit shy, I like making new friends and talking to people. I find stories hidden behind every one of us very interesting.

When I was growing up, I thought nothing else existed apart from my little town I lived in. When I was 14, I decided to pursue a creative career in my life and I moved to Prague, to be away from my parents 5 days a week. I spent the next seven years moving back and forth and Prague has become my second home. I was lucky to live and experience the most beautiful places that (in my opinion) Prague has to offer.

I studie BA Graphic design in Southampton and now I am doing Graphic design as a volunteer for charity.

PHILOSOPHY

I just love Alan Watts. Listening to his talks has made the greatest impact on my life philosophy in the past months. I particularly like this quote:

"If you awaken from this illusion, and you understand that black implies white, self implies other, life implies death — or shall I say, death implies life — you can conceive yourself. Not conceive, but feel yourself, not as a stranger in the world, not as someone here on sufferance, on probation, not as something that has arrived here by fluke, but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental. What you are basically, deep, deep down, far, far in, is simply the fabric and structure of existence itself."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To feel less alone during my travels. To experience new cultures, meet new people.

Interests

I like reading books, being in the nature, wild swimming, watercolor painting. I am also very much interested in films and art. I like to hear about different life philosophies. I am always keen to learn something about Buddhism. I am also interested in all things supernatural.

My current favorite band is Sigur Rós.
I love books by James Herriot, I also like to read stories of real people, particularly artists.
My favorite movies are 500 Days of Summer, Big Fish and White Oleander.
I also enjoy trashy horror movies and light hearted comedies.

I climbed the highest mountain of Wales.

I can teach you some czech sentences. I love to bake and my friends say I am good at it :)
