ABOUT ME

An easy-going, open-minded person. I like to laugh A LOT and try to turn a bad day into a good one. Looking for those weird, spontaneous moments in life. I like to travel and meet new people and have new experiences. I love trying new food or a new game. I'm interested in animals and environmental resource management. Currently finishing my degree in criminology.

Interests

Those spontaneous moments in life, when you just forget for a second about everything and just do it. It doesn't have to be something big like jumping from an airplane but there are also small deeds, which brighten your day, things one is scared off or embarassed to do but when done, one feels free and happy.

I love to cook and bake (and EAT, let's not forget that, most of the time when I plan a travel, I think of the food I want to eat there).

Read, draw, hike, play cards, have a beer and engage in meaningful discussions :)

Rock music: Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, the Smiths, the Doors, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin ... right now mostly along the lines of the REM / Joy Division / Ramones / Red Hot Chili Peppers
but other music types as well :)

Books: Paulo Coelho, Milan Kundera, Robert Galbraith, Haruki Murakami, Frantz Fanon
Just give me any book and I devour it, currently I love to read political philosophy.

Films: Into the Wild, Good Will Hunting, LOTR, Rose Island

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking and hitchhiking around Europe with my old friend - one time through France and once Budapest to Croatia to Germany. It is humbling to see how nice and openhearted people can be. Hitchhiking is one of the best experiences I ever made.

Tadoussac: volunteering at the greatest auberge I have ever been to. Meeting the best people, exploring and collecting mushrooms, getting there, hitting the road again with a new friend - everything around it has been a great adventure and made my Canada experience truly unforgettable.

Geneva: one of the best times of my life. I've met the most amazing people and fell in love with the place - you have this great big lake, which looks more like the sea and then in the background those beautiful mountains. I feel that people are more adventurous, savouring life to the fullest and you just go right with it.
