ABOUT ME

I'm Anneloes, 21 years old and from the Netherlands. I really like adventure, sports, discovering the world and have fun! I finished my high school and wanted to do something else. So I went to Australia and New Zealand for 7 months. In April 2013 I came back to the Netherlands. In that same year in September, I started my study in Criminology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

First I did a lot of couchsurfing while I was in Australia. I thought it was a great and fun thing to do, so since I am back in the Netherlands I would like to help people the same way. I am now hosting people so that they have a place to stay for a couple of days.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I arrived in Australia I never heard about couchsurfing, but I am so happy that people told me about this great way to travel! Now I allready have had a lot of couchsurf experience and I think it is just an amazing way to meet new people and get to know the other culture!

Interests

I really like sports and then especially gymnastics cause I do this for almost 14 years. But also atlethics, soccer, tennis, you name it. I think everything is fun to do!
I also teach toddlers gymnastic and organise a camp for all ages (twice a year). I really like it because not only the kids have a great weekend. I also have an amazing weekend :)
In the summer holiday I organise for the children in the neighboorhood a few evenings where they can play outside, draw, play games etc.
I also participate in the world's biggest flower parade (bloemencorso Zundert). You have 20 neighboorhouds and each neighboorhoud makes their own car. They start in May and every year on the first Sunday of September, you have a parade. If you really want to see something amazing, you really have to go and watch the flower parade!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like to go to festivals and spend the weekend with a lot of people who all want to have fun!
I like movies such as the Hunger Games. A little bit fantasy, but not to much. And there has to be a good story! Sometimes I can also enjoy an evening on the couch with a (romantic) comedy ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing things I have seen was the Great Barrier Reef! It was so beautiful! It looked if you were in a different world.
Whitsunday Island and then especially Whitehaven Beach! I never saw a beach which was more white then any other beach!
In New Zealand I did bungeejumping what was really awesome to do! Strange enough I wasn't nervouse. Maybe because I allready went skydiving a week earlier. This was also really nice! It is more beautiful then bungeejumping, because you have more time to enjoy the jump!
