I like people. I think they're fascinating. I particularly like people who giggle over silly things, scream at trains, and don't mind getting their feet wet.

PHILOSOPHY

1) Hide the can opener.
When you visit your friends homes, hide theirs.
2)One day a week eat only turnips.
3)Gardening is relaxing. Never garden.
4)Plants are soothing. They make you feel closer to nature. Never have them in the house. Try not to have them in the garden.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was standing on the edge of a breaker on Green Island in Taiwan. It was amazing--the huge waves rolling in toward me from the open ocean. I leaned over the side to see how far down the water was when SWOSH! A massive wave slammed into the breaker--spraying straight into my face and up five feet above my head. I was completely drenched me head to toe. Such a great moment...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teechya to make some pretty kickace bean & cheese enchiladas utilizing a secret sauce straight from the Yucatan Peninsula.

I have previously taught: neurodiagnostics, english as a second language, microbiology, and trained folks in skills from my previous lives as a baker, lighting/sound technician, phlebotomist, doula, and amateur car mechanic.

I'd like to learn: homebrewing, guitar playing, knitting (beyond what I learned in 5th grade) and how to walk on my hands.

Currently learning: science for scientists, to drum and how to do awesome things in Seattle.
