I'm a midwife and it is not only my profession it is also a passion. I love meeting people - no matter if newborn or elderly people with a lot of life experience. Everyone has so much to share with others and I like the idea of CS: meeting people and visiting new places. If i had the time and money I would travel all around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While going on holidays you often see only the main tourist spots and you are with your travel companions or a group. But I want to learn about the real place, the everyday life and the hidden spots. I hope to meet people who can share their knowledge with me and I hope to give it back to others who want to visit my hometown.

Interests

I love learning about other countries and cultures. I'm interested in the classical tourist spots and do some sightseeing. But I also love to explore the real life of a city/country. Since my early childhood the Walt Disney films and characters are an important part of my life. I visited Disneyland Paris about 14 times but it is a very specia place again and again. It never looses its magic. It is a very own world and I enjoy dreaming away to other places. If I can't travel the world I take a book and a cup of green tea and enjoy a cozy time at home.
But as a midwife I'm not home very often. There's so much work to do and so many babies want to be born and mommies and daddies want some help through this very special first weeks as a family. It is a great blessing to help them and care for them. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music styles: soundtracks, classics, metal (for example Nightwish) indie, dance, german songwriters an so on.
Films... well, all the Walt Disney stuff ;) my favourite actors are Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Leo DiCaprio, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and S.M.Gellar
TV series: I grew up with Little house on the prairie. GoT and TBBT are must-see's :)
I have no favourite book. I have a little library at home. It contains thriller, romantic novels, historical novels, stories set in Australia, ancient egypt or celtic britain.
You see, I'm very flexible ;)
