About Me

I'm a follower of Jesus. I'm married to the love of my life, Micah Miller. We live in Northern Indiana in a lovely subdivision bordered by woods but close to everything. We are in Lagrange County, the third largest Amish/Mennonite community in the world. My husband is currently an elementary school teacher and I am a happy stay at home wife. I keep busy cooking, helping care for my aging great aunt, and keeping up with our robust social life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's cool that you get free accommodations and plus get to meet people from around the world. It just sounds fun and surprising! You just never know who you'll end up meeting.

Interests

I love to read and collect books to have on my shelves even if I haven't read them. I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and making friends in foreign lands. I like hosting and serving my guests! I love cooking and baking, especially beautiful desserts and cakes and cheesecakes. I love whimsy, starry nights, classical music (canon by Pachelbel is my favorite). I also love good choral music and enjoy singing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love The Chronicles of Narnia! I love the Holy Bible-it is my guide for life! I like true stories and classics. I like George MacDonald, Harold Bell Wright, and so many other random ones. I have a special affinity to stories of peoples' experiences during the World Wars.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jet skiing on the Bay of Alcudia in Mallorca, Spain on my honeymoon when the sea was rough!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can provide you with information on what to do/see in my area. You'd get to experience the culture of an Anabaptist family and enjoy staying in a lovely country setting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am clean, respectful, honest, and enjoy meeting new people. I can cook a good homemade meal.

Countries I’ve Visited
