Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life like there's no tomorrow! I am not one of material needs and constantly pursue spiritual satisfaction in my life.
ABOUT ME
I'm extremely friendly and easy to get along. I'm a bit crazy sometimes (okay, maybe more) but I'm really just excited to live my life to the fullest - which can lead me to some unfortunate situations... I love to talk and share stories with new people. I have a vast wealth of knowledge and like to talk about all kinds of topics.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe everyone has the right to be themselves and express their feelings without being judged. I believe that everyone has the right to travel and see the world.
I believe that my life has a bigger purpose than I can see and that the universe has plans for me to achieve things beyond my comprehension.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm totally new to this and would like to try!
Interests
I love to travel. Even without money or time, I travel when I can. Right now, I'm serving compulsory military service which makes travelling even harder finanacially and timewise. I'm deeply involved in the theatre scene in Singapore - I enjoy acting and singing on stage as well as doing production work behind-the-scenes to help push more wonderful productions onto a stage and with an audience. I play the guitar and sing in bars from time to time. I love nature and I have an insatiable thirst for adventure. Before the army, I also used some time to perform volunteer work. My last trip to Bandung, Indonesia helped send thousands of English books to various schools in the city and I also led team of volunteers to run core life skill classes in these schools - this is a critical issue in my opinion as children in these countries need to have skills like these in order to break out of poverty.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a singer and performer, I love all kinds of music but special mention goes to Frank Sinatra whom I am very influenced by vocally.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There was a time when I was living and working in Scotland. I took a weekend by myself to Northern Ireland. I hopped on a tour bus up the Antrim Coast and at one point, I found myself on a slippery cliff facing the strongest sea breeze (IT WAS NOT A BREEZE AT ALL) ever. I fell over and scraped my knee a little. I totally laughed out loud at that moment because I was so overwhelmed thinking, 'Oh my god, I can't believe I'm here to see this.'
Another time was when I entered a classroom in Bandung, Indonesia as my team of volunteers were going to teach a class for that afternoon. It was amazing to see the children so excited and pay so much attention to learn because in my home country, Singapore, our high standard of education is taken for granted, and teachers are often bullied by students and students can be very obnoxious and difficult. Bandung was so different. The kids... Wow, they had such zest to learn and improve themselves so that they could have a better life in the future. It really shows how privileged some of use are living in developed countries.
