About Me

I'm a quiet and mild girl dealing with a dynamic lifestyle! I always try to make the most of my experiences, facing them with optimism :)

I grew up in a hill village in northern Italy, surrounded by fields and small woods. Family and pets were my only company in my free time until we moved to town and my four brothers were born! I'm like a second mum to them and any time I have the chance to travel I wish they could have the same experience one day.

I haven't had the opportunity to travel that much until I started high school: My first intercultural exchange in Germany and the following experiences at Uni really helped to broaden my horizons. I discovered how amazing is when people with different backgrounds, language and cultures are able to communicate and share experiences in a peaceful and respectful way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

An Italian friend of mine introduced me to Couchsurfing while living in the beautiful Spanish city of MÁLAGA. As we were all Italian girls living in the same flat and had two spare sofas, we decided to start hosting Couchsurfers from September to December 2014. We had the chance to practice our English and Spanish and, which is most important, meeting people from all over the world having a great time together!

I've just had two Couchsurfing experiences so far, which I shared with my friend Angela. We went together to Córdoba (2014 - 2 days) and Sevilla (2014 - 3 days).

I believe that traveling is more fun when you have hospitable friends around the world who make you feel at home. It's a great opportunity to "live" any city you're visiting.

Interests

My main hobbies are linked to the world of music, dance and art.
I play the guitar and sing. I've always wanted to study singing but I've been spending all my saving to study dancing .
At the moment I'm focusing on contemporary dance. My mission is to develop my own movement, possibly fluid and natural, expressing feelings, emotions and stories.
Although I don't have a good long term memory I enjoy visits to art galleries or anything related to pictures and photographs. I actually have an eye for details. By the way I would be rather interested in picking up photography as a hobby at some point!

I love inspiring moments in which I start a discussion to myself writing down thoughts, large or small notes, meaningful sentences or words.

I enjoy going for a walk in the mountain, a run in the countryside or excursions in the wood. I usually go with my boyfriend as we share the passion for both sport and nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Among all the author I've come across so far, I would recommend the American Toni Morrison , with her interested stories about slavery and her peculiar writing style.

As far as music concerns I'm a huge fan of rock music, as well as country and acoustics. However, you could bump into me dancing reggaetòn or hip hop music or singing hits from musicals!
Among my favourite artists are Elisa Toffoli, Mark Knopfler, Mumford&Sons, Alanis Morisette, Great Big See.

I appreciate watching good films, especially in their native language.

Teach, Learn, Share

Available to teach something about Italian and Spanish language and culture, as well as some contemporary dance basics (if you have enough space to move in the house without the risk of breaking vases or glasses) and guitar chords (in case you own a guitar but rarely use it ) !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I confess I'm not very fond of cooking (but working on it). However, I could help preparing some simple Italian main dishes, like "pasta", "lasagna", "gnocchi", "bruschetta" or nice desserts like biscuits or "tiramisù" !
I can obviously share time, words and laughs :)
