About Me

2018:
Hey,

I'm a SAHM living in NJ country side. Happy to potentially host.

2017:
Hey, I'm Arielle - I live to travel. I travel on a whim a lot and I plan travel sometimes. Sometimes I travel for a week or I travel for 6 months. Whenever a friend wants to go away they call me because they know I am stuck with a travel bug. I've road tripped across Canada - I've road tripped across the US. I've gone to Istanbul for a random weekend. And I most certainly have booked a flight same day.

I own my own business that allows me to be free to travel (almost) whenever I want.

From 2011:
CURRENT MISSION

To experience the freedom of not knowing where life is taking me

ABOUT ME

I'm the person that you call when you have this crazy idea of something epic to do and no one else is brave enough to come along. I am usually outgoing, and I'm always smiling. My life philosophy is to live in the moment and keep my karma clean. I love meeting new people and my goal of life is to trek though nature around the globe.
I really love meeting new people.
I wake up everyday ready for adventure and aww stricken by our beautiful planet. Some people live their life waiting for something better and I am lucky to already see our world as perfect.

PHILOSOPHY

YOLO.... joking! I just found out what YOLO means today (for all that don't know it means You Only Live Once) I have seen it all over the Internet and finally asked why the world is hash-tagging it on the Internet... and actually I don't have a real answer- guess it's just the new fad amongst the kids these days.
But random tangent aside- my personal philosophy is to stay in the moment. Worrying about yesterday and/or tomorrow makes you miss out on today.
Some quotes I live by:
They deem me mad because I will not sell my days for gold; and I deem them mad because they think my days have a price. ~Kahlil Gibran

A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free.
~Nikos Kazantzakis

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

2017:
I love meeting new people when I travel and lately I've just been going to hotels and wondering where the locals are so I decided to get back on couchsurfer!

From 2011:
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just finished university so I have not had the opportunity to travel or host travelers yet but no better time to start than today. I reply on some of the couch surfing forums to help out vegetarians who visit Israel.

Interests

2017: I love to draw, read and drink tequila.

From 2011:
I am really into sustainable living, and nutrition. I'm avid hiker and always looking to be outdoors. I love cooking healthy meals and surprising people with the amazing tastes of natural whole foods. I love running and palates. And for major fun I hula hoop dance. I can eat Indian forever it is so yum I love all the flavors. Actually I love all spicy flavorful food.

Music, Movies, and Books

2017: 1984

From 2011:
I love the Flobots, any music with a message wake people up to think for themselves and any instrumental music of almost any Genre.
Book wise I am a total non-fiction nut- random psychology books, history books, nutrition books, I am obsessed with information and scientific studies (I bring up scientific studies all the time- I am totally in love with ebsco host and all my academic resources!)
Movies are really not my thing- like older movies I can sit through and enjoy but I find many of todays movies too violent and crude for my taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2017: I love that I have my profile from 2011 saved!I think I live my life in a way that would make 2011 Arielle proud, super happy about that.

From 2011:
I moved across the world to Israel by myself without knowing any Hebrew and after a few years there I got a BA degree at an Israeli University.

Going in Safari in South Africa was amazing and Disney totally brainwashed because everywhere I looked I could only think about how it was the real life version of the lion king.

I can't wait to expand this section!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Iceland, Italy, South Africa

Countries I’ve Lived In
