Born and raised near Detroit USA and recently moved to Berlin in order to do my masters degree. I am first generation American and was raised by a polish family, so culturally I feel polish. I worked as an engineer for three years and then I decided that I want to change my career path, so I choose to come to Germany to study and learn the language too. I have been traveling since I was a kid because my parents share the same passion to travel. I would say that I enjoy going to Asia the most. The culture there is so much different then what I'm used to in the United States. Most of all, I like going out during the day to see the sights and enjoy the sun. At night I like going out to dance or see a nice concert/festival. IG: @arkadiusz_woj

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Since I moved to Europe I have begun to do more solo traveling, so I want to experience this with other people! I have mostly done Airbnb in the past, but I see CouchSurfing as an opportunity to become immersed in the culture and experience it in a different way other then going to see all the main attractions in the city.
Music, Movies, and Books
TV shows: game of thrones, breaking bad, it's always sunny, the office, Narcos, friends, HIMYM, Music: reggaeton, rap, hip-hop, RnB, alternative rock, EDM, techno Movies: Superbad, the hangover, rush hour 2, police academy, Saving Private Ryan, Get Out, star wars. Action-comedies are my favorite!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
The best things I did while traveling were surfing in Sydney Australia and going inside a tiger cage in Thailand. Thailand was the best trip I ever had (Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi Island). On the same trip I also swam with sharks without being inside of a cage.
Teach, Learn, Share
With the four languages that I know I can teach you many slang words I can teach you how to open a beer bottle with another bottle (aka party trick). I like learning phrases/words from each country that only locals use, in german this is called umgangsprache. I have a running list on my phone of many different languages. I also like learning different types of home-cooked meals since I'm not the best cook.
