About Me

By day I'm your friendly neighborhood IT gal and by night... well I'm still a nerd. Battling the dreaded unemployment currently. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie and adventurer at heart. Apparently as an INTP (according to free online tests) I must be a introvert, but according to me I'm also half extrovert. I admit I am shy and slow to open up. My alignment is neutral-good. I don't pick a side politically. Religiously I’m… not (recovering Catholic?) OK, if I am any kind of "religious" (say spiritual) then it is purely with a Buddhist spirit. I thoroughly enjoy reading and writing and hope to be an author one day. I’m very logical and analytical, but also an artistic and creative type. Creating things is very close to godliness by definition.. I've always been interested in astronomy and physics. I occasionally stargaze or prepare to watch the next astral event through one of my telescopes. I am also a lover of the ocean, I relish body boarding when I get the courage to face what's lurking and I'm constantly trying to learn to surf. I enjoy philosophy and history and of course engaging conversation, albeit I'm an amateur at all things. Lastly, I am a pirate fanatic (one of my offices is FULL of pirate paraphernalia). I'm an aspiring movie buff and a passionate music lover. I'm kind of a jack of all trades in life and I enjoy learning about everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly to meet new people and of course travel as well. Technology has done a fabulous job of disconnecting us humans and I would like to use it to reconnect.

Music, Movies, and Books

@Books&Movies: I like the trippy thought provoking stuff, anything with a severe mind fudging (such as my favorite book of all time "The Starlight Crystal" or "Shackle and Sword" also love “Dharma Bums” and much Hemingway. Unfortunately books I like are mostly unheard of, so I'll focus on movies). I am actually an aspiring movie buff. I especially enjoy silent films, indie flicks, psychological thrillers and cerebral. Fiction/non-fiction/documentary, sci-fi and fantasy. I love watching controversial expose documentaries. I'm a comedy, rom-com, and action movie junkie as well

@TVShows: Lewis C.K., New Girl, Selfie, The Big Bang Theory, The Soup, How I Met Your Mother. I also enjoy watching Nova, Space Documentaries, Doctor Who, Black Sails, and of course Game of Thrones. Also watching Gilmore Girls front to back now in Netflix with my sister. I'm not much of a regular cable TV person as I find commercials brain melting. As far as I'm concerned, the TV is there so I can expand my computer onto a beautifully lit LED screen and play Diablo/Skyrim/Minecraft and other pseudo current PC games. (Recently I'm playing Don't Starve, Witcher, and ESO, some FF14.

@Music:

[Prologue] : One of the number one things I am passionate about is music and I definitely would love to have a band eventually. While some people turned to various vices to get through adolescence, I turned to music. I really just like so much music I couldn't really put it all down. I also adore karaoke!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This section sounds like gloating and its hard for me to do that. I guess I can say I recently joined as a volunteer at the American Red Cross? (though it doesn't feel like I did anything amazing with that).
