About Me

Cinema and music lover, food and beer enthusiast, curious and open minded ! I really enjoy discovering other cultures, sharing knowledge and wisdom during trips, trying new things and not following the tourist trails.
Otherwise, I'm a software developer, but don't worry, I won't bore you with it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, because I want to try it ! I've heard nothing but good things about couchsurfing from many friends and I really like the idea. I think it's a great opportunity to travel in a different way, to visit the city and its special places only a local would know. I have tried hostels and such, I enjoyed most of them, but that's not exactly the same thing.

Just to be honest on another point, if I chose not to accept guests, it isn't to take advantage of the system, just because I have roomates and I don't want to force that on them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen metal and quite everything that has a guitar in it, be it psychedelic rock, garage rock, new wave, prog, math rock, whatever (well, as long as it's good). I'm a huge fan of stoner, sludge, doom and the likes, heavy, warm and massive riffs, especially live (to throw in some names, let's say Electric Wizard, Kyuss and Sleep). I also listen to a fair share of synthwave, a bit of rap, and Electric Six.

I could say a lot about movies, but I'll keep it short. My favorite movie is Apocalypse Now, and I can add 2001, Mulholland Drive, There Will Be Blood, Casino, Dogville... as close followers. I have a thing for hard hitting movies that make you uneasy and question your convictions, doesn't matter if it's fiction or documentary.

As for books, I don't read as much as I'd want to, but I can say that I love various writers like Stephen King, Lovecraft, Easton Ellis, Orwell, Ellroy, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure if it's supposed to be something I have really done like a precise action or something I found amazing ?

Is it's the latter, then I can't really choose between Hellfest and three weeks in Mauritius with friends, both opened my mind in different ways.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Obviously, my conversation and curiosity, I'm always up for a good talk about culture, experiences, even politics maybe ! I'm definitely not the type of host that would just sleep, say hello, leave and come back at night ^^

Also, I can cook, I'm always happy to share, learn a recipe along the way, cook for friends, so if you're a food lover, we should get along juste fine.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, England, Italy, Mauritius, Scotland, Spain
