About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Brazil-bound freelancer

ABOUT ME

I love to meet new people, go on adventures and especially, try new foods, most specifically street food.

PHILOSOPHY

Experience everything you can, take risks but not foolish ones, meet good people, work hard, play hard and try to take things as they come.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the CS2 project, here to find out what it's all about!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crashing with college friends in DC and in Europe led to meeting a few new friends, one who gave me a tour of Brugges and Brussels as well as an off the beaten track tour of its produce and flea markets as well as a visit to the city's African restaurants; and a second with whom I had a blast touring Plzen during a summer jazz festival where I was able to try lots of good street food including havlusky, drink great beer and slivavitza, toured the bars and did a somewhat wobbly but wonderful bicycle-ride through the Czech countryside past plum trees on tranquil, pretty roads.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list...I'm a movie junky (I see at least one movie a week) and even try to catch flicks while I'm traveling even if they're in a language I don't understand. Music...eclectic interests from Rock to Electronica to Jazz and R.L. Burnside. Books...I'm off fiction and more interested in real life...but NOT memoirs!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived...with my girfriend at the time...the experience itself was amazing...but also terrifying because her first parachute didn't open. Thankfully the backup did.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm, I'm a trained cook so I can teach some basic culinary concepts. I'm a writer and thus a natural editor of OTHER people's writing! I know how to whistle between my teeth...
