ABOUT ME

I was raised in a small community of Gringo missionaries in Peru, South America. I know, having read "The Poisonwood Bible", that I ought to be bitter about all this... but I'm not.

"Peoples is peoples" and you can find amazing people anywhere - even at the heart of fundamentalism (gasp!). While I gradually became tired of the burden of pretending to have capital "K" Knowledge and stopped running with that crowd, I understand the impulse and am not interested in pigeonholing anyone - not even the pigeonholers.

I just got tired of trying to figure it all out. So I quit.

Anyways, this whole couch surfing thing is right up my and my wife's collective alley, so if you'd like to drop in, eat some food, chat about art or life, or just hang out a while... well, please do.

Interests

Everything? Can I say that? I love to read and to write. I love to paint, draw, take photographs and play my ukulele. I like eating and cooking and tennis and soccer and chess, and having royal rumpuses with my son.
